FIRST IMPRESSION OUT OF THE BOX
I got the new Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit. It’s a squonk, oh yeah. Look at that squonking. Get two fingers in there, really nice, got the Revvo tank with a squonk pin installed already. Basically kind of like an RDTA with a flat coil system that you can squonk into.
You got two Mills on top. Nice job on it. I think it los really great. We got some removable panels over here. I don’t know if Aspire is going to be selling other panels for it. Fire buttons on top. I don’t know what they were thinking though with that name. Feedlink. They call it the Feedlink. Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit. Feedlink – it sounds like a piece of farm equipment. Let’s forget about all that.
Let’s cut down low. Let me show to you up close and personal. Once we’re done with that, we’ll cut back on top. We’ll talk about it. Cons, pros. Out of here. See you down low.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
- 1 Feedlink Squonk BF Mod
- 1 Revvo Boost Sub-Ohm Tank
- 2 ARC Coils
- 1 Spare Glass
- Spare O-Rings
- Instructional Manual
- Warning Card
Alright, everyone. Welcome to the download portion of this video. Today we’re going over the Aspire Feedlink Revvo kit. Very very basic packaging. Nothing really crazy going on there. Here are the contents of the kit. You get a Feedlink mod. A 2 ml rebel boost tank that is squonk-ready. Two coils, radial coils that ohm out anywhere from 0.1 to 0.14 ohms. You get an extra glass tube, a bunch of extra o rings. Two warning cards, user manual, and a warranty card.
Here is your scratch-and-sniff, in order to check to see if it’s authentic. Let’s open this up and see what it actually los like. We’re going to put the mod to the side for a second. We’re going to pull out the foam insert. And here, we have all the bos and usual stuff. Let’s see what we have here.
We have a battery safety card. File that to the side. Important advice. File that to the side. Revvo Kit user manual, file that to the side. We have a warranty card, file back to the side. Here are the bunch of spare o-rings, nice job on that, Aspire. Here is the spare glass. Glad they included that in the kit. Here is your radial coil. Now these things are a little different. Oh check it out. Let’s zoom in a little bit so I can show you exactly what’s so different about them. If you’ll notice they almost lo like I’ll – people call them a flat notch coil, a pancake coil, Aspire coils, there’s the radius coil, you got a little o-ring there.
You got some type of – I don’t know what that is. It’s not cotton and I wish this was all cotton because that does kind of bother me. I don’t like that material especially if I don’t know what it is. I wish they would just use plain cotton or find a way to do that, but basically what happens is, this coil sits in your tank, your juice sits underneath it, and every time you tilt it, it saturates the coil.
FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
I’m going to show you with the tank right now. Here is the Revvo tank. Here is your airflow adjustment, top airflow. Nice and smooth. They did a good job on that. The top actually screws all off, it’s threaded in. And you see this little, I don’t know, it’s kind of like a nut.
In the old school Revvo 1 you filled it through here. This acts more like a plug. so what you do is, you take your radial coil, you slide it in there like so, you fill it up first, then you put the nut back on, and now your juice is inside here and every time you tilt this tank, it saturates the bottom of that coil.
This is 2 ml capacity on here. You can see it comes squonk ready. Revvo branding, Revvo Boost, some Aspire branding. Here is the top cap. Really not much of a conical design going on in here. Threading in here is nice and smooth. Proprietary drip tip that does not come off. Not a fan of that. Not a fan of all that metal inside. I just don’t understand what they were thinking. Just too much metal in here for me. I think it heats things up a little too much. But in order to put it back on the tank, you thread it on like so, and that’s it. Now you’re ready to put it on the mod and squonk.
That’s what it looks like. Let’s take the tank off a second because I don’t want to fire it with a dry coil.
And let’s actually go over the mod. You can see we have like a stainless steel plate here. I think these are plastic though, they are removable if you have two hex keys, you can loosen these two hex screws, and remove them. I don’t know if Aspire is going to be selling different panels for it but would definitely be a good idea. So we have some Aspire branding here. Nice and shiny here. Some silver over here. Silver over here.
Here is your fire button. Nice and square, love the location. I hate the feel of it. It’s very mushy. I just don’t like it. You have two star screws here holding the top plate in place. Here is your squonk. 510 I’ve got a short stiff throw to it. Oh ring over here to keep the juice in. and the stainless-steel threading is very smooth. My other squonkers have sat flush on it. Another plate over here, some silver over here. And look at that nice, big, squonk section. I mean, man, you can get two fingers in there. They did a good job on that.
Now here is your battery door, basically. It’s one of those old-style, you know, screw-out types. Threading on it is not the greatest. It really isn’t. It’s actually pretty bad. And there’s only one battery indicator marking, and that is on this side where you see the negative right there. Not happy about that. There should be some clear battery indicator markings down there. You have a spring-loaded gold-plated battery contact.
Here is your squonking system. Bottle comes out like this. It’s a half a turn to get it out. Got a little nubs over here to lock it in. they did a nice job with that. I like the capacity of the bottle. I like the actual system. I’m not crazy, that it’s proprietary and I’m definitely not happy about the fact that they only included one. I think they should have included a whole another one with a cap. So I could take a bottle with me and just swap them out quickly. And I’m also not crazy about this metal stem. They got nice knurling on it. I understand why they designed it this way ‘cause they wanted to do a leak free squonk bottle and they did accomplish that. I’m just not happy that it’s all proprietary. So now when you want to put the bottle back in, you simply slide it in, give it a half a twist, and it’s back in there. So good job on that. They did a really nice job on that.
Now when you put the battery in, negative side has to face out. And now you got to kind of – takes a little patience to get this to catch because the threading just isn’t that good. It really isn’t. They did a bad job on that I’m actually surprised by Aspire. The overall feel and quality of this mod is really nice. It’s got some nice heft to it and it feels great in the hand. I think it also looks great with that Revvo tank. But we’re going to talk about how it actually vapes back on top.
So let’s cut back on top. Let’s talk about the Aspire Feedlink Revvo Kit. We’ll go over the cons and pros and then we’re out of here. See you back on top.
Alright, everyone. We’re back on top with the Aspire Feedlink Revvo. It’s a squonker as you sort it down below. Like I said, man, not crazy about that name. Anyway.
It’s a really nice mod. Has a real solid feel, has some heft to it. I like the fire button location not crazy about the mushyness of the fire button. As far as a squonker goes through, man, let me tell you something, this is one of the better ones out there. There’s some protections built in. It’s unregulated. It’ll go up to about 80 watts. I’m not crazy about the Revvo tank. I had it in the sky star kit and I am this – I get it – it’s for people who don’t want to build or feel like they can’t build but they want that kind of RDA experience. For those types of people, you’ll get that. But I don’t know, the flavor the airiness of it, it just has a very wispy type of type of flavor to it. It’s just not saturated enough for me, it’s not thick enough for me, I’m just not I’m just not digging it as far as a squonker goes. Even on the sky star kit, I really didn’t dig this tank too much either. It’s okay, it serves its purpose for people that don’t want to build, but otherwise, you know, just to be honest with you, I’ve been rocking the Wotofo Recurve on top of it and I’ve really been enjoying that. I put a .24 build in it, and I’ve been getting a great vape that way.
For you guys who haven’t tried it before, give that tank a try, see if you actually like it.
Let’s get into the official cons and pros. First con’s going to be – that name. Come on, man Feedlink? Guys, come up with a better name. Aspire, you’re better than.
Second con’s going to be the proprietary bottle system. Well, it does work very well. it is proprietary and i don’t like that. Other con’s going to be that button. i love the location, but it’s got a mushy feel to it. Other con’s going to be it doesn’t take 21700. Aspire, you guys miss the boat on that one. You guys would have hit it out of the park if you would have made this mod compatible with 21700 batteries. I think you guys missed an opportunity there.
Other con’s going to be the battery threading, the battery cap threading. It’s not good. It takes a while to get it to catch it’s a little bit on the crunchy side, especially the first two spins of it. Aspire, you got to work on that.
No spare bottle. Aspire, you cannot build a system with a proprietary bottle and not include a spare. Bad job on that. You should have put a spare in there with a cap on it. So I can put it in my pocket and swap it out real quick if I want to.
Other con’s going to be – this is a subjective con. You got to build for this. If you’re not going to run this tank on it, you do have to build for this. Meaning, you really don’t want to run anything 0.3 ohms or above you kind of want to be below 0.3 ohms. You want to be in that 0.18 to 0.24 type a range in order to get a real nice vape off of this. Some people just don’t vape that low, so I’m just going to give them a con for that.
Pros – there’s plenty of them. This thing vapes well. The bottle system, while proprietary, works very well. I’ll give them a pro on that. Going to give them a pro on the capacity. You can basically, you got a7ml bottle, and you got two ml’s over here. You can get 9ml’s in this thing if you really want to. Going to give them a pro on the fact that the panels are removable. I really hope Aspire releases different panels for it. That’s fantastic.
Going to give them a pro on the firing button position. I like the position, I just wish it was clicky-er. Going to give them a pro on the general form factor in ergonomics. This thing feels great in the hand. Going to also give them a pro on the build quality. They put some thought to this thing. This thing is built well, feels really solid in hand.
I’m also going to give them a pro on the colors. They got some phenomenal colors, they got some resin panels, and this thing just looks great. They pick some really nice colors. I’m also going to give them a pro on the price point. The price point for this thing, check our links down below. Really good value, I think it is anyway. I’m also going to give them a pro on the quick ramp up time on this thing. If you build for this, with one of your other squonking atomizes, this thing ramps up and hits hard. I like that. I’m also going to give this fire a pro, for this being their first squonker and they made a great first effort. Good on you, Aspire.
