SMOK X-PRIV KIT REVIEW

Smok X Priv Kit Review

FIRST IMPRESSION OUT OF THE BOX:

When I first saw pictures of this mod, I knew that I wanted to try it out. It just looked like a really nice form factor as well as a very small form factor for a dual battery mod. Taking it out of the box, my initial impressions were right on. This is a really nice mod with a great form factor and it’s extremely small for a dual battery mod. It’s not Eleaf Invoke small but it’s definitely a nice compact dual 18650 mod. I also love the fact that almost the whole front of it is all screen. Let’s load some batteries in it, juice up the new Prince tank, and see how it actually performs.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX:

  • One SMOK X-Priv 225W TC Box Mod
  • One SMOK TFV12 Prince Sub-Ohm Tank
  • One V12 Prince Q4 Coil Head
  • One V12 Prince T10 Coil Head
  • USB Charging Cable
  • Replacement Parts and Glass
  • User Manual

FROM TOP TO BOTTOM:

THE MOD:

Starting on the top side of the mod, we have a really nice 510 connection. There is a stainless steel plate around the 510 connection and it is milled into the mod so it does sit flush on the top plate. If the screen is facing you, the 510 connection is on the left side of the mod. I really wish Smok would have centered the 510 connection on the X-Priv. The 510 pin is gold-plated and spring-loaded. It has a really stiff spring and a short throw. The threading around the 510 pin is nice and smooth and so far, all of my atomizers have sat flush on it. You can get up to a 28 mm atomizer on here with a very slight overhang. Actually, because of the beveled edges, a 28mm atomizer does not look too bad. 25 mm atomizers will fit with no overhang at all.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

With the screen facing you, on the left side of the mod is where you will find the firing bar. The firing bar is something that Smok made famous and they have basically perfected it. You can hit the bar anywhere from the middle of it, all the way up to the top in order to fire the mod. The lower you press on the bar, the harder it is to fire. The firing bar has a very nice, clicky feel to it. It is well done and it is also distinctive from the other side of the mod. I have seen other mods that have this type of firing bar and it’s hard to tell the difference at first sight which side of the mod the firing bar is actually located on. That is not the case with the X-Priv. There are some clear spaces that indicate that the left side of the mod is where the firing bar is located.

On the backside of the mod is where you will find the battery door. The exterior of the battery door has a beautiful honeycomb design on it. Towards the bottom of the battery door, there is also some Smok branding. The branding is subtle and not really obnoxious at all. On the bottom of the battery door, there is a slot that you can get your fingernail into in order to lift the battery door. Once you lift the battery door up, on the interior, you will see for strong magnets in each corner of the battery door. The battery door is also lined with some sort of plastic for safety, just in case one of your battery wraps has a tear.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The battery tray is very nicely done. Not only does it have clear battery indicator markings but Smok decided to do them in white. They contrast beautifully against the black battery tray and they are very easy to see. Well done, Smok! When you load the batteries in the mod, both batteries go in positive side down. Just like you would in a parallel mech mod but because the battery tray is wired for series, you don’t have to worry about all that mech mod stuff. I like the fact that Smok did this and I think, it just makes things easier when people are putting their batteries in the same way. I wish more manufacturers would do this, just for the sake of simplicity.

Of course, in the four corners of the battery tray, there are four magnets that correspond with the four magnets on the battery door. There are also four star screws that hold your battery tray in place. Smok also included a battery strap in order to make it easier for you to get your batteries out of the mod. I have not experienced any battery rattle or battery door rattle. The bottom battery contacts are gold plated and spring loaded. The top battery contacts are gold plated and button style. Overall, it’s a very well done battery compartment.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

Back on the front side of the mod, we have the screen and above the screen, there is some Smok branding. The X-Priv has a massive 2-inch HD color screen that is just drop dead gorgeous. I just can’t say enough good things about this screen. It is extremely colorful and well laid out. I love the size of it and I love the way it looks while you are vaping on this mod. It is just fantastic. On the screen, you will be able to see two separate battery meters labeled A and B, wattage, temperature, preheat, resistance, voltage, amount of puffs, and duration of puff. You are also able to change the colors on the screen. It’s just an extremely well laid out screen that is bright and you can see it in every lighting condition. Bravo, Smok!

Below the screen, on the right hand side of the mod, is where the up and down buttons are located. The up and down buttons have a rectangular shape to them but they also have a nice curve to them that goes along with the actual curve of the mod. Of course, the up button is located higher than the down button. The X-Priv does scroll in .1 watt increments. I would like to see more mod makers move to a 1-watt scroll.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

To the left of the up and down buttons is where the charge update port is located. I could not find any information as to what rate the batteries charge at internally but I will say that Smok did include a really nice USB cable in this kit. If I do find that information, I will update this review. For me, it’s really not a big deal because I really don’t recommend that you charge dual batteries internally. It is a nice feature to have 2 amp charging for those times you are on the go but I can not confirm that this mod charges at 2 amps.

THE TANK:

In this kit, you get the new Smok Prince tank. I tend to think of this tank as a really nice compromise between the TFV12 Cloud Beast King and the Big Baby Beast. For me, it provides a vape that is right in the middle of those two tanks. It also takes its own family of coils that have been developed for the tank. Neither Baby Beast nor TFV12 Cloud Beast coils will fit in this tank. You get two different coils in this kit but there are four available as of this writing as well as an RBA section. I’m sure, more are on the way but I do wish they would have included the RBA section in the kit. To make the RBA a separate purchase is just ridiculous.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

Starting at the top, we do have a beautiful cobra style drip tip that is made to match the color of the tank. Smok is calling it that because it has a pattern on it that looks like a snake skin. In all reality, it’s just a dressed up, proprietary, Smok drip tip but I have to give them credit because it does look very nice and it matches up beautifully with the tank. It is also very comfortable and I have enjoyed using it. Smok also has glow in the dark Cobra DT’s available as a separate purchase.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The Prince tank has that slide-out, top-fill feature that Smok has made famous. This one has a locking mechanism to it that I really like. Instead of pushing down and swinging the top cap out, on this version of Smok’s top fill, there is a button on the side that you press in order to release the top cap. Once the button is pressed, you can swing the top cap out and fill up your tank. It’s a really nice improvement and it works really well.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The top cap opens really wide and it reveals a white gasket. The gasket goes around your chimney and your fill port opening. The fill port opening is the shape of a Tic Tac and it will accommodate most bottles including the bullnose type of juice bottles. You do have to be careful with the bullnose type of juice bottle but it is possible to fill the tank with them. You also get a spare gasket in your spare parts pack.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The bubble glass does come preinstalled and you do get a straight glass spare. I love the bubble glass. With the bubble glass section installed, you get a whopping 8 ml capacity. With the straight glass installed, the capacity drops down to a mind baffling 2 mls. I have no idea why anyone would want to run that glass unless they absolutely have to. I understand it’s the whole TPD compliant thing but I find the spare glass on this tank be absolutely useless, especially since I don’t live in the EU. I think Smok should have included a spare bubble glass, especially for the kits going to non EU countries.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The base of the tank is where the airflow is located. There are two cyclops style airflow slots. They are fully adjustable. The airflow is very smooth and this is quite an airy tank. There is some knurling in between the airflow slots that help you get a grip of the AFC. The AFC does have stoppers on both ends and the action on it is very smooth. Make no mistake about it, this is a DL tank. There is no way to MTL this tank at all. This is for the people that like lots of airflow and plenty of flavor. The base of the tank does measure 25 mm but with the bubble glass installed, the middle section will protrude slightly from the base.

THE COILS:

  • V12 Prince-T10 Decuple Coil Head
    • 0.12 ohm
    • Patented Decuple Coil
    • 60 to 120W Range
    • 80 to 110W Recommended Range
  • V12 Prince-Q4 Quadruple Coil Head
    • 0.4 ohm
    • Patented Quadruple Coil
    • 40 to 100W
    • 60 to 80W Recommended Range

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The first coil I tried was the Q4 coil. I like this coil and I did get a really nice vape off of it. I was also surprised at the coil longevity. I had this coil in there for well over two weeks and the flavor was actually really good all the way through. In fact, I probably chucked the coil with some life still left in it because I needed to move on to the second coil for my testing in this review. I really liked vaping this coil right around 75 watts. At that wattage, I get a nice, flavorful vape and the clouds weren’t bad either. At the lower end of the coils rating, the vape was definitely anemic and less flavorful. When I tested this coil out in my Mag kit, it had a hard time keeping up on the higher end of the wattage range. That was not the case with the coil I got in the X-Priv kit. I have been running this coil a little hotter than I did on the Prince tank that was included with my Mag kit. This one seems to do a little better with the higher wattages. I have been running this one a lot closer to 80 watts and I get a much more flavorful vape. I don’t know if they improved the QC on the coils or if I just got a janky one with my Mag kit.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

The next coil I tried was the T10. This coil was definitely more my style of vaping. I like to vape right around 85 watts most of the time and this coil is perfect at that wattage. I get a really nice, saturated, flavorful, cloudy vape when I vape it at 85 watts. At 60 watts, the vape is okay but it’s definitely lacking some flavor and clouds. I did push the coil up to the 100-watt limit and while it did keep up beautifully, I just don’t like to vape that high. The vape was just a little too hot for me at 100 watts. I think the sweet spot for this coil is right around 85 watts. That is exactly where you will get the best compromise of clouds and flavor with this T10 coil. Out of the two coils included in the kit, this is definitely my favorite.

THE LOOK, FEEL, AND GENERAL AESTHETICS OF THE MOD:

I absolutely love the look and feel of this mod. Yes, I know, it really is just a box but it’s the way they did the box that makes it feel so good in your hand. They really beveled this thing out and put some nice smooth curves on it. The screen on it almost looks like a smartphone, the way they beveled out the edges of it. All the curves and all the soft edges are just fantastic on this mod. Plus, let’s not forget about that awesome screen that Smok decided to put on this mod. The screen is absolutely huge, colorful, and extremely vibrant. I would say that this is one of the best screens that I’ve seen on a mod in a while now. Just fantastic. It doesn’t look like it in the pictures but when you hold this mod in your hand, you will understand exactly what I am talking about. If they would have just centered the 510 connection on this mod, it would have been close to perfection from a form factor standpoint.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

I am also extremely impressed with the paint on the X-Priv. Smok did a great job matching up the tank color to the color of the mod. The color matching job that they did is almost seamless. Everything in this kit just looks great together. The finish has been extremely durable. I have been using this mod a lot in the last month or so and this finish on it has held up just beautifully. I have had this thing in my bag, in my pocket, and I have tossed it all over the place and I have no scratches on this mod. Even the bottom of the mod where you normally get some wear and tear from putting the mod down on a table or rough surface is scratch free. The finish on it is very glossy and it has an anodized type of look to it. When it comes to the finish on this mod, they did a bang-up job on it. The X-Priv is also available in a ton of colors. Those colors include gold, blue, chrome, gunmetal, rainbow, red, and pink. If I know Smok, in a month or so, there should be even more colors available.

THE BOARD:

The proprietary board that Smok used in the X-Priv mod is one of their newest boards. When I first saw the screen, I was really excited to try it because it’s a larger version of the Mag screen. I will go over it in more detail in this section but I can tell you right now that this chipset is a very much improved chipset when compared to the older ones used in previous Smok mods.

The X-Priv has a maximum wattage output of 225 watts and a maximum voltage of 9 volts. It has a full temperature control suite that includes Ni, Ti, and SS. It has wattage adjustment capability in TC mode. It has a temperature control range of 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. It can fire as low as .1 ohm in power mode and .05 ohms in TC mode. There is a TCR function available and the mod does have preheat settings that include soft, normal, and hard.

THE MENU SYSTEM:

  • Click the fire bar 5 times to turn the mod on and lock the mod.
  • Click the fire bar 3 times to enter the main menu system.
  • In the main menu system, click the fire bar quickly to advance in the menu system or hold the fire bar to advance in the sub menu system that you are currently in.
  • Once you find the screen that you want to adjust, you can use the up and down buttons to make those adjustments.
  • Quick hold the down and fire button in order to activate the shortcut and access your materials.
  • Quick hold the up and fire button to activate the shortcut and adjust your preheat.

Smok X Priv Kit Review

One thing that I have always loved about Smok mods is, all their menu systems are always the same and they are very simple. If you own a Smok mod with this type of screen, this menu system is going to be extremely familiar to you. Even if you don’t own a previous version of this chipset, this is not a hard menu system to learn. It is extremely easy and very user-friendly.

HOW DOES IT VAPE?

I find the X-Priv mod to be pretty accurate in power mode. I’m pretty sure the X-Priv is doing the full 225 watts. If it’s not, it’s close enough for me to not be able to tell the difference. I vaped it next to my DNA and Yihi mods and I have to say that the X-Priv gave me a very comparable vape next to my DNA and Yihi mods. The X-Priv may have been a tad cooler but I’m willing to bet that most people won’t be able to tell the difference.

TC on most Smok mods has always been pretty suspect. In the past, the best case scenario is it was inconsistent and the worst case scenario was it just did not work. I reviewed quite a few of them in the past and the TC has just been terrible. While the TC on this mod is not quite up to DNA or Yihi standards, it’s definitely much improved over past Smok mods. I think Smok may be starting to take TC a little bit more seriously and you can tell they made an effort with the TC on this chipset. It’s not the greatest or the smoothest TC out there but it definitely does TC and it does have dry burn protection. I still wouldn’t consider this a truly legitimate TC board but Smok is definitely taking steps in the right direction. The TC isn’t really bad, it was just inconsistent but not nearly as inconsistent as it has been in the past. Even when it’s inconsistent, the TC, it’s still better than not being able to do TC at all, which has been my past experience with a lot Smok mods.

WHAT WOULD MAKE IT BETTER:

  • Center That 510 Connection
  • Spare Bubble Glass
  • Include The RBA SectionI just can’t believe that Smok made such a beautiful mod and they put the 510 connection on the left side. It just baffles me why they did not center that 510 connection. It would have been such an awesome form factor if they just would have centered the 510.Get rid of that spare glass. While I appreciate the fact that they did include a spare glass in the kit, I have no use for one that is only 2 mls. For me, that’s like not including a spare glass. Why not just put another bubble glass in the Box?

Enough already with the separate purchase on the RBA sections. Smok, you really need to start including your RBA sections in your tank kits as well as your mod kits. It’s just not right that you make them a separate purchase. I don’t know why you don’t do it, you are still going to sell a ton of coils. For the people like me that like to build, we would definitely appreciate getting the RBA section.

CONCLUSION:

In case you haven’t noticed, I really like this mod. I have been carrying it around with me for quite some time now and I have put a lot of juice through this kit. I like the way it looks and I love the way it feels in my hand. It vapes extremely well and I’m a big fan of this new Prince tank. The coils for it are absolutely awesome and the flavor as well as the power that you getting in this kit is just phenomenal. If you’re looking for a small, dual 18650 mod that has a great form factor and an awesome tank, this is the way to go. The X-Priv by Smok is DeucesJack approved. Pick one up, and you’ll know exactly what I am talking about.

Smok TFV8 Review

After receiving many positive comments for TFV4 on the market, SmokTech recently brings a cloud beast TFV8 and it is introduced on their official website as:

The ancient volcano, Mount Vesuvius, is a cloud beast entrenched into the earth. Although calm, the 2,000 foot diameter crater fills with steam; a formidable, gasping lion. Once awakened, she erupts lava into an ominous sky, and the earth trembles with her great power.

Now, SMOK brings you this magnificent power, completely changing your vaping experience. The TFV8, is the ultimate sub-ohm atomizer. The TFV8 utilizes 4 unique, patented Turbo Engines: V8-T8 (6.6T), V8-T6 (6.0T), V8-Q4 (5.0T), and the V8 RBA (4.0T-X). These add up to make the TFV8, a real Cloud Beast!”

Package includes:

-SMOK TFV8 Tank

-1 X V8-T8 0.15 Ohm Octuple Coil Head

-1 X V8-Q4 0.15 Ohm Quadruple Coil head

-1 X V8 0.28 Ohm Turbo RBA Head

-Replacement Glass

-User Manual

-Spare parts

Features:

-6ml E-Liquid Capacity (5.5ml With TF-V8 Coil Installed)

-24mm Diameter (Glass Diameter 25.5mm)

-50mm Height

-Stainless Steel Construction

-Wide Bore Delrin Drip Tip

Compared with TVF4, TFV8 has a significant progress in many ways. It is a large vape tank, has a 15% larger diameter and a 30% larger area. It is 50mm height and has a 24.5mm diameter, and the diameter of glass spare part is 25.2mm. As a result, the size allows TFV8 to has an ability of filling more E-juice than TFV4. Also, TFV8 has 2 bigger airflow slots on the bottom, which increased 18% area.

It is a top-fill tank, when you open the top-cap, you will find the refill slot and air chamber of this tank is bigger than TFV4. This design improvement is more convenient for you to fill the tank and enjoy the bigger cloud of vapor it produced.

They are 4 turbo engines, V8-T8 (6.6T), V8-T6 (6.0T), V8-Q4 (5.0T),  V8 RBA (4.0T-X), which makes TFV8 to be a real cloud beast. V8-T8 coil, head with 0.15 atomizer resistance, is designed for use between 90-250W but vape best at 120 watts to 180 watts. The V8-T6 coil is rated for use between 50-240W but best at 110-150W and V8-Q4 vapes best between 90 watts and 150 watts.

Although the coils was recommended the range of watts for using, you could setup the wattage as high as you would like. Be careful, the high wattage you will gives you extremely hot throat hit and that is not bearable for everyone. Most vapers like slightly warm throat hit and big vape cloud.

Many vapors may be more interested in RBA head. It is great design and very easy especially for newbie to build on. The kit comes with a pre-installed Claptons., so you just need to place the coils between the posts and tighten up by twisting the screws. Please make sure the coils must not touch the deck and be checked for resistance before they fire on the a device.

Pros

-Top-fill tank

-Well build quality

-Huge vapor capacity

-Adjustable airflow holes

-Adapt to high wattage setting

Cons

-E-juice easy to waste

Geekvape Zeus Dual vs OBS Engine Review

Geekvape has earned its title for being one of the best tank manufacturers in the ecig market with tanks such as the Griffin in the past, and recently the Blitzen RTA which had rave reviews and performed exceptionally. The Zeus Dual RTA is no exception.

Zeus Dual RTA.jpg

The Zeus Dual RTA is a dual coil version of their previous, Zeus RTA which was a single coil RTA. It still features a leak proof, top airflow and top fill design with an improved, post-less build deck.

In the box you will receive:

  • 1 x Zeus Dual RTA
  • 1 x Spare Glass Tube
  • 1 x 510 Drip Tip Adaptor
  • 1 x Allen Key
  • 1 x 510 Delrin Tip
  • 1 x 810 Drip Tip
  • 1 x User Manual
  • 2 x Braid Coils

Zeus Box.jpg

Zeus Coil.jpg
Zeus Dual Coil RTA Specs

  • Size: 46.4mm x 26mm
  • Both Single & Dual Coil
  • 510 & 810 drip tips are available
  • Color: SS, Gun Metal, Black, Blue
  • 4ml Capacity

Zeus Dual.jpg
Design:

The Zeus Dual RTA can be used as a single or dual coil RTA. The design is very similar to the previous single coil Zeus with a few minor tweaks. The first design difference you will notice is that on this version compared to the previous version, the inner cage has been removed which gives the RTA a cleaner look. Other than that, the RTA has received a slight facelift in it’s external design with most of the changes being made internally.

The Zeus Dual is available in many different colour options so you won’t have a problem finding a colour you want. It is available in: SS, Gunmetal, Black, Blue, Gold, Polished SS, Red/Black and Rainbow. I have the Blue which is more of a navy blue and has a really nice glossy metallic finish to it. The finish on the RTA is excellent and I highly doubt it will peel off.

You also have the option of using either 810 or 510 Drip tips on this RTA with the inclusion of the 510 drip tip adapter. I think the included tips work best on this RTA because it covers the lip. If you were to use your own 810 Drip tip, you may experience a slight overhang.

The build deck and airflow design at the deck is also different. On the Single Coil Zeus you have a sort of ‘wall’ with holes which direct the airflow to the side of the coils.

Zeus single deck.jpg

This is no longer the same on the Zeus Dual. The new design features more airflow and the airflow is now directed to the bottom of the coil depending on how high you place your coil. The new deck design is definitely an improvement from the previous Zeus RTA and makes the wicking process easier.

GeekVape-ZEUS-Dual-airflow.jpg

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tank.

Building/Wicking:

Building on the Zeus Dual is very simple due to the postless design. You simply cut your leads at the same length and drop them in the slots. When you try tightening the leads, it starts to become frustrating because the screws on this RTA are small. The one con that postless decks have is that it requires trial and error to get your coils to the ‘correct’ height or the height you want. This means that you will need to insert your coil, remove your coil, trim the leads and repeat until you get the perfect height. I would’ve really liked to see something like the coily coil trimming tool included to make building that much easier.

Zeus Deck.jpg

Wicking the Zeus Dual is easy but wicking the Zeus Dual properly takes a few attempts. Although this RTA is very forgiving with how you wick, you will not be getting the full experience if it is not wicked properly. To wick this RTA properly you will want to the cotton to just cover the top of the wicking ports and not fill up the ports. If you do fill up the ports, what you may experience will be a rather muted kind of vape which feels almost like an ‘airlock’.

Comparison to other Top Airflow RTA’s

I have tried a few top airflow RTA’s like the OBS Engine Nano and Engine Dual so I thought I’d do a quick comparison of how these compare.

For a long time OBS has changed the game with the release of the Engine line of RTA’s. These were among the very first of top airflow RTA’s that were released and have excellent reviews. Both RTA’s performed excellent.

Capacity:

The OBS Engine had a 5.2ml juice capacity were as the Zeus Dual has a 4ml capacity however, some versions of this RTA come with a bubble glass which increases the capacity to 5.5ml. The bubble glass can be purchased separately if you don’t get it in your box.

Building:

If you remember the OBS Engine dual, you will know it featured a velocity style build deck which did make building a breeze however, it couldn’t really take massive coils but installing a build didn’t require much trial and error. The Zeus Dual on the other hand, supports bigger coils but installing the coils takes a bit more effort to get it set up correctly.

Wicking:

The OBS Engine and the Zeus Dual do require you to experiment a bit to get it wicked perfectly. Since these RTA’s are top airflow, you won’t get leaking but you do get dry hits, gurgling or spit back due to incorrect wicking. The only fix to these issues is re-wicking.

For spit back and gurgling:

Spit back is mostly caused because over saturated coils. To fix this, use more cotton (thicker piece) and try to cover the wicking ports a bit more. Fixing this issue requires trial and error to find a method that works best for you.

For Dry hits:

Dry hits occur due to you using to high wattage or wicking incorrectly (Too much cotton). Most of the time it’s using too much cotton that causes this issue. To fix this, simply use less cotton through the coil (if it is too tight through the coil) and cut the ends of the wick more so that it just sits and covers the wicking ports.

Flavor and performance:

Once built and wicked correctly, the Zeus Dual RTA performs excellent! Compared to the OBS Engine, there is most certainly a noticeable difference in flavor. Using the same juices in both RTA’s which range from fruits, RY4, menthols, I have found the Zeus to be more flavorful and potent compared to the OBS Engine. The Zeus Dual, with its cons are my pick from the top airflow RTA’s I have tried. The Engine has had its place for a long time but the Zeus Dual is definitely the better option if you had to choose between the 2. I didn’t test out the Zeus Single Coil version but I would assume that with the versatility the Zeus Dual offers (Single or Dual coil) and making wicking easier for you by not needing to bend your cotton, the Zeus Dual should be considered.

Zeus Aegis.jpg

In short:

The Zeus Dual RTA performs excellent in flavor and vapor production and is the best dual coil leakproof RTA I have tried to date. The only cons for this RTA is the use of small screws on the build deck which make it frustrating to tighten your leads, the lack of a bubble glass in most editions. I would’ve love for Geekvape to include a Coily Coil Trimming tool or similar to the tool Wotofo Includes with their Recurve RDA.

First Thoughts

I’m a sucker for tanks, always have been and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed at all when I took the lid off the box. I love the fact that it comes with a spare glass, and lots of Orings, it kinda made me all warm and happy inside. The tank itself looked really nice nestled into the packaging and to be honest I couldn’t wait to get it coiled and wicked and get vaping with it.

Look and Feel

Its looks bloomin’ lovely  I have the stainless steel one so nice and shiny even though its a brushed kind of finish. It has Blitzen in bold type on one side, and the logo on the other. Now I can be a little bit slow at times, and it did take me a while to figure out what the actual logo is… D’oh! Its a reindeer. I guess it really is a festive tank! So should I put it away until next year, then dangle it from my Christmas tree?? Nooo way, I like it way too much to dangle it from anything but a mod!

It’s a top filling tank, just remove the cap and fill down one of the two generous sized holes, I can get my gorilla bottle nozzles in there with room to spare so you’re not going to spill liquid everywhere when filling.

The threads are all very smooth on the top cap and base, and the air flow control sleeve is as smooth as butter. No sharp edges anywhere, the machining is excellent.

The top cap and base both have shallow cut out sections that make it easy to grip for unscrewing and screwing back together.

Drip Tip & AirFlow

The Drip tip is beautiful! I used to have a thing for drip tips when I first started vaping and never did quite get over it! Its made from resin, so it has that two-tone kind of depth to it, and mine is orange with a splash of black to it. The more I use these wide bore 810 mouth pieces the more used to them I actually get, and this one is very comfy to get your lips around!

The airflow holes are of the fancy ‘honeycomb’ type, 16 little holes all lined up nicely with 5 at the top and bottom and 6 across the middle. This makes for great airflow control, You can close them down one row at a time (3 holes) until you get to just one final hole, which really does give a very tight draw.

Now you do get a 510 adapter in the kit, along with a simple 510 drip tip. I am using the Blitzen at the minute with a single coil @ 0.4ohms, and I did close the air flow right down to try mouth to lung inhaling but to be honest it was just way too hot, and very little vapour, even as low as 30w. But…. with a higher ohm coil, I’m pretty certain you could mouth to lung inhale with this tank. If anyone does try a higher ohm coil, leave a comment and let me know if MTL lung inhaling does indeed work? I would try it, but don’t have any of the higher gauged wire to make a 1.0ohm plus coil, and don’t fancy making a 20 wrap coil  with my 26 gauge

The Deck & Fitting your coil/coils

This is a postless deck, and your coils are going to drop down into the oval shaped holes, and then you will tighten them from the sides. You can fit either a single or a dual coil, and there is plenty of room in the post holes (or is that ‘post-less’ holes) for your bigger wire builds.

So I fitted a single coil, with some pre-made twisted something or other UD coil. And I have to say this was one of the easiest coils I have ever fitted to an RTA, you do have to precut the legs, but the rest was just really simple. Now I know it doesn’t look pretty, but it vapes really well!  The screws can be loosened and tightened with the little tool you get in the box. Or if you have one of those cheap pound shop small screwdrivers you can use that. That’s what I used, much easier than the stumpy little tool that comes in the box. And it is a flat head screwdriver you will need.

The wicking channels are quite generous, you’ll be able to tuck a decent amount of cotton in, and the liquid will flow in through the side of those channels.

For some reason the deck spins round, and I think this maybe because you have these cut outs where the cotton and liquid channel sits (so once its in position it kind of all moves round together while screwing the base back on. But… I don’t think you can remove it for cleaning, and I didn’t want to try because when I start to try and strip things down, I normally end up breaking them… yeah I’m a woman, I do that!

Now my first coil and wick just worked first time! No messing, no faffing, I wasn’t too bothered about how much wick I used (just wanted to get this Blitzen vaping!) just a rough guess and I get no leaks, no gurgles, no dry hits… I guess with the higher air holes this will pretty much eliminate leaking anyway.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Tank.

Fitting The Bubble Glass

Now I have been using this with the 5ml bubble glass, just because it saves me having to fill my tank every 10 minutes. To fit the bubble glass, you will need to use the weird looking little tool that comes in the box, pop a leg into each fill hole, and twist. It does take a little bit of force, but it will unscrew. Then you just need to make sure the seals are still on the tank base and top section, if not remove them from the glass and pop them on. Fit the chimney extender and pop the bubble glass on. I then also used the tool to tighten everything back down. Some people don’t like the look of the bubble glass, but it does keep the mouthpiece closer to the coils, and of course this helps with flavour. And personally I don’t mind the look of it at all.

How Does The Geekvape Blitzen Vape?

In a word ‘Brilliantly’! The flavour is really good, easily on par with some of my RDA’s. The air flow is directly positioned on to the side of the coils, with a single coil it gets air flow to both sides. This really does boost the flavour. The vapour production is pretty great too. I tend to have the air flow around ¾ to fully open, and the vape is lovely and smooth

I got a little bit of spitting when I first installed the coil, but that disappeared within the first half an hour and just left a really smooth, flavoursome vape.

I haven’t used dual coils in this yet, I’m enjoying this build and the way it vapes so much, that I’m kind of thinking ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!’  Plus I’m getting record breaking battery run time! I forgot just how long you could get from a pair of batteries with a single coil!! Its fantastic

I will get some dual coils in it eventually and will update if I find any problems, but I’m thinking dual coils are gonna be just the same…. but bigger!

Final Thoughts

I’ve been using this for the last few days and can’t find a single bad thing to say about it. It works and it works extremely well.  It’s just easy to use, easy to fill, easy to build on… the flavour is awesome, it looks good,  I love it!

Remeber a Blitzen is for life, not just for Christmas! Which to be honest suits me fine!

Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA – now it’s even more interesting

Today I will introduce you to the novelty of the company Geekvape. Immediately I note that it is a rethought version of the sensational Loop RDA . I must admit that it turned out to be much more interesting than its predecessor. Without further ado, I ask you to come to the table!

Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
Case material: stainless steel
atomizer type: RDA
capacity: average (about 1.5ml – questionable figure)
Diameter: 24 mm
Height: 26mm without Drip type (doubtful)
Connector: 510, pin gilded

Options
– Loop V1.5 RDA
– an additional 810th drip type
– a hex

– spare orings
– spare screws
– squonk pin
– an adapter for the 510th type drips
– user’s manual
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
As you have noticed, our hero changed outwardly quite a bit. Now the body of the drips is cut with laser engraving, right in the style of the modern mainstream with tattoos that reached the remotest corners of our vast country. I must admit, it even benefited the atomizer’s bow. And the ring around the dome remained virgin, so this contrast adds a charm to the novelty.
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
Since the start, we have six variants of coloring at once, which is not at all acidic.

Drip types in the kit are two, both are 810th, both are made of ultema. What is their fundamental difference, I do not understand. True, now they are located on a small aerial on the dome, which, in my opinion, also increased the likelihood of the device.
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
The dome is equipped with the same swivel ring, apparently, non-removable. And again the question is how they put it there)))
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
But the air intakes have changed. Now we observe gratings with holes of different heights, in short, at the entrance the air flow was decided to be shattered. Also provided for the blowing of only one spiral. Internal processing of the dome while there is no opportunity to contemplate.
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
The deck has not changed fundamentally.

Racks in the shape of the letter “W” with incorrect fixation of the legs of one or two spirals. Here compare with the first version.

But the blowing holes have been altered beyond recognition.
Geekvape Loop V1.5 RDA -
First and foremost, the air flow was also shattered here, it turns out at the output too. Now for the bottom blowing, two large holes meet, and behind the side (at an angle of 45 degrees) from the inside, there are three small holes, and from the outside, seven, and even in two rows. It seems that the upper row here may be superfluous, and it is also wider than the lower one. But this is purely my thoughts … The

bathtub is likely to be quite roomy, and the squonk pin is in the box.
Pin is gilded and performs decently.

Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank | Review

Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank

Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank

Today we review the new Nautilus 2 by Aspire. The original Nautilus Mini became one of the most popular mouth-to-lung devices of all time. So we have high hopes for the Nautilus 2.

Highlights

  • Great for MTL
  • 2ml Capacity
  • Protected glass
  • Cross series coils
Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank

The Aspire Nautilus 2 tank has to have been one of the most hyped and anticipated releases by a vape company this year. Aspire even produced a lot of drama around its release and didn’t even publish photos of it until the last minute.

The Nautilus 2 uses the original 1.8 BVC coils, so it is cross compatible with the old Nautilus. However they have also released a .7 ohm coils, so now the Nautilus 2 is also capable of sub-ohming. It’s great that Aspire is providing options for both mouth-to-lung and sub ohm vapers.

I’m looking forward to this one….. is this going to vape better than the original? Let’s find out.

Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank

Kit Content:

  • 1x Nautilus 2 tank(Pre-installed a 0.7ohm coil)
  • 1x Extra Coil(1.8ohm)
  • 1x Extra Glass Tube
  • 8x Orings
  • 1x User Manual
  • 1x Warning Card
  • 1x Extra Drip tip

Specifications:

  • Height: 53mm
  • Diameter: 22mm
  • Capacity: 2ml
  • Material: Stainless steel / aluminum
Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank

There’s a lot to love about the Nautilus 2 design. The bell-shaped top is a throwback to the Nautilus and Nautilus Mini. It’s a tank that knows its origins and shows them proudly, but at the same time will not look out of place on new overly designed mods. The looks might divide some, but I love the simplistic styling. It also has an anodized finish which gives it a rather nice matte look and feel.

As with most of Aspire’s tanks, it is machined well with no crunching or screeching of threads. The one big design change over the original Nautilus is that it is top fill. Simply unscrew the top bell cap and dump your e-liquid into the glass chamber. The only caveat with this form of top-fill is it does tend to flood the coil a little at the point of being refilled.

The other particularly nice touch is the center of the tank is not entirely glass. The bell top cap acts as a stainless steel shell, protecting the glass and increasing durability. The Nautilus 2 also comes with 2 drip tips, one that matches the tank and the other is stainless steel.

It’s a solid well-made superbly designed piece of kit, and in the time I’ve been using it, there’s been absolutely no leaking whatsoever.

Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank

First and foremost the Nautilus 2 is a mouth-to-lung tank and an amazingly good one at that. However, I was also impressed with the 0.7-ohm coils for direct-to-lung vaping – more on that later.

Considering it uses the exact same coils as the original Nautilus, you’d think it just vapes like a Nautilus in an updated shell. But boy does that new design make a difference. Aspire must have worked hard on creating the perfect design and airflow, especially for mouth-to-lung vaping – The flavor production is fantastic

I found with the 1.8-ohm coils; I was getting the best performance at around 12-13 watts. Then with the 0.7-ohm sub ohm coils at 20-23 watts.

As someone who likes both mouth-to-lung and sub-ohm vaping. I mainly stuck with the 0.7-hm coils; I really enjoyed the fact I was getting great blasts of flavor and a decent amount of vapor without creating too much of a scene when I was out and about.

The only one negative in using the sub-ohm coils is you do go through a lot more juice, and with a tiny 2ml capacity you’ll be filling this tank a lot. I get that Aspire have tried to make it TPD compliant and keep it a nice compact design, and that’s great for the 1.8-ohm MTL coils. Just be warned if you are primarily looking to use the sub-ohm coils.

That being said, almost everything about this tank smashes the Nautilus X in terms of performance.

Ijoy Combo Squonk RDTA – Squonk RDTA – where we roll …

The company Ijoy succumbed to the main stream and developed the direction of the squonk in full swing. Not so long ago they released the adjustable squonk box on two AKB Capo 216 . So, as in the kit with him, you can buy this strange atomizer separately, which we will consider below.

It’s called simply Ijoy Combo Squonk RDTA – did not become tricky .

Our hero is almost everything different from his predecessor Combo RDTA II . First, it became much lower and, accordingly, lost in roominess. Secondly, the changes have touched on the construction of the deck, the geometry of the blowing has naturally changed, and, consequently, the appearance.
Ijoy Combo Squonk RDTA - where we roll ...
The device looks almost the same, so it remained recognizable. Only here for some reason on all versions, which, as always, a large number, the top cap is black. This, apparently, thus found the way out in the developers creative.

So, the deck is gilded and now bezostochnaya, in principle, convenient.
Ijoy Combo Squonk RDTA - where we roll ...
Only here the top filling is realized, as in RDTA 5s, between the coils in the hole. Not the best option. Blowing the side, through the three holes on each side.
Capacity is average, however, as the developers boast, with the above squonker will be all 14ml.
Ijoy Combo Squonk RDTA - where we roll ...
Now for the refueling through squonk pin. To begin with, I think this idea of delirium – well, why and who needs it, if you can quickly pour on top. I know, I know – you say sometimes uncomfortable, etc., etc.. But nevertheless I will stay at my opinion, especially at once I’ll have enough of my own volume.
Ijoy Combo Squonk RDTA - where we roll ...
The mechanism, as I understand it, is the next, as soon as you click on the bottle of the squonker, the liquid will start to flow into the tank, but the cotton wool on the deck will not wet. Apparently, the hole in the central shaft, through which it penetrates into the tank, is located immediately below the deck. Otherwise, the bottle would suck up the liquid in the bottle. In general, such a self, incomprehensible in meaning.

Both pins are gilded and perform very well.

IJOY CAPO 100W Review

The design of this mod reminds of the Pico from Eleaf, however the iJoy Capo 100W comes with a bigger battery and more power. It’s a really nice starter kit for beginners, especially those looking to sub ohm. Great build quality, lots of features and super portable.

PACKAGING

The iJoy Capo 100W is available in in five different colors, including Rainbow. Inside the box you will find the mod itself, the Captain S sub ohm tank fitted with a 0.3 Ohm coil, a spare 0.5 Ohm coil, spare parts, micro-USB cable, and the user manual. Besides these you also get an iJoy 21700 3750mAh 40A battery, but sadly no 18650 adapter.

GENERAL FEATURES

The mod measures 78mm x 52mm x 30mm and accommodate atomizers up to 25mm. It has the battery knob and 510 connector on top. Power button is placed on the side and the OLED display as well as adjustment buttons and micro-USB port on the front.

Since it’s powered by a high capacity 21700 battery the iJoy Capo 100W is able to deliver outstanding performance. With an output of 100W, variable wattage, temperature control and different power curves it’s a pretty sleek mod. The menu is super easy to use and everything looks and feels very intuitive. Just three clicks gets you into the menu and from there the adjustment buttons will guide you through all the settings.

Besides Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel, you can also make TCR adjustments and change the wattage within TC mode. And like many recent iJoy mods, this one has upgradeable firmware, which is always a big plus in our books.

The Captain S sub ohm tank is perfectly balanced for the iJoy Capo 100W. This 22.5mm cloud chucker has a total capacity of 3.5ml and features slide to unlock top fill. Airflow is fully adjustable and the draw is pretty loose on max setting.

THE COILS

There are two types of coils for this tank. The 0.3 Ohm heads are great between 40 – 80W and they give richer, warmer vapor. The 0.5 Ohm heads are perfect for vaping up to 60W and they give a cooler experience. We recommend the 0.5 Ohm coils for beginners and a wattage setting of 30 – 40W. They also work well with high VG juices, as long as you don’t chain vape.

PERFORMANCE

In terms of performance, the iJoy Capo 100W is really great in this price range. Battery life is great as long as you vape between 50-60W and overall quality exceeds expectations. The mod is packed with all modern features and the tank matches its power just perfectly. Great for home use but more importantly it’s very easy to carry around to work or when doing errands. Firmware is upgradeable and the chip is quite accurate and responsive.

Wismec Sinuous P80 Kit Review

Wismec is one of the top vape companies, since they make everything from starter kits to high-wattage devices. They fall somewhere between the genius of Vaporesso and SMOK’s profligacy with devices that are both excellent performers and pay particular attention to users comfort and design requirements.

The P80 is a slimmed-down version of the Wismec Predator mod that took two removable 18650 batteries and had a maximum power output of 228W. The P80 looks basically like a Predator sucking in its gut to fit into a pair of pants that are way too small.

Wismec Sinuous P80 Review

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

The layout and design are the same with a few, notable differences. There’s no front-facing OLED screen on the P80, which has been moved to the side that is also the firing panel – it’s rare to see a display and a firing panel melded together, but that’s precisely what the P80 has done.

And that’s why I made mention of the P80 being a “pen-style” box mod since its shape does recall a pen-style device. The P80 has a 510 connector at the top, and since there is no extra girth or thickness of the device, it can comfortably fit a 25mm-in-diameter tank but no wider.

Wismec Sinuous P80 510 connector at the top

I would say that excluding the adjustable settings, vaping outputs and the requirement of attaching the tank, there’s not much else that separates the P80 from vape pens. And since the P80 vapes at a maximum of only 80W it also matches many other vape pens in performance, as well.

THE GOODS

The P80 can come as a stand-alone mod, as well as with an accompanying tank. I received the kit and here’s what you’ll find inside your Wismec Sinuous P80 kit:

  • One Sinuous P80 mod
  • One Elabo Mini tank
  • Two WS01 0.2ohm coil heads
  • One QC USB charging/upgrade cable
  • Two instruction manuals
  • One warning card

Wismec Sinuous P80 parts

The Wismec Sinuous P80 Box Mod: Up Close

The Wismec Sinuous P80, as I’ve already mentioned, borrows a lot from it’s older and bigger brother, the Predator 228W mod. The P80 takes only one 18650 battery, loaded from the bottom with a hinged battery door so it’s extra portable regarding its weight.

The P80 measures only 120mm (with Elabo tank attached) in height and a very slim 28mm in thickness. There are two black side panels, one of them integrates a 0.96inch OLED screen into the firing panel along with the two selector buttons and a side USB charging port.

The rest of the device has a smooth, plastic finish that feels great in the hand, and the device itself is quite easy to hold and grip. There are two LED lights that can change colors depressed into the middle of the device, between the two side panels.

It’s strange that Wismec decided to load up only one side of the device with all of its operating features and leave the other panel empty. But, moving on, the top of the device features a 510 connector pin that is a bit recessed, so when you attach a tank, it’ll sit flush with the top of the mod.

The Sinuous P80 Mod: The Internals

Using the Wismec Sinuous P80 is a lot like using any other Wismec device. Although the OLED screen is rather small and colorless, it was well-organized and displayed its variables in a large, art-deco-like font.

When you’ve turned on the P80 with five clicks of the firing panel, the top-down display will show you your vaping mode, power levels, with your voltage, amperage and coil resistance all underneath those primary levels.

holding Wismec Sinuous P80

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Regarding vaping outputs, the board on the P80 offers the basics that come with most of Wismec devices, like variable wattage, temperature control, TCR, and bypass mode. To access the various options, you just need to click the firing panel three times and use the right selector button to scroll through all the possibilities. Pressing the firing panel locks your choice.

The firing panel is most responsive at the very top, which is excellent since you are not always pressing down on the screen and leaving your thumb or fingerprints on it. The other two selector buttons also feel great and respond immediately.

Vaping with the Wismec Sinuous P80

I haven’t used the Elabo before but I have used the WS family of coils with the Wismec CB-60. The CB-60 kit was more a mouth-to-lung box mod and the accompanying WS03 coils performed best at lower-wattages. The flavor coming off of those coils was exceptional and the WS coils have become a dependable and reliable option for all types of tanks.

The P80 comes with two WS01 coils that both have a resistance of 0.2ohms, although it would’ve been nice to have a second, mouth-to-lung coil option rather than two sub-ohm coils. The coil build on the WS01 is quite well-done, with a genuine triple build coil clearly visible on the inside of the coil.

The Elabo tank features bottom airflow and a top-fill system; only you do have to remove the drip tip to completely open the top cap, which is a great safety feature included in the tank. And since the P80 is a low-wattage device the Elabo tank has a 2ml capacity with no added extender tube.

I vaped at a restrained 50W at first, and the coils worked phenomenally well paired with the Elabo tank. I threw open the airflow vents to their maximum and felt the vapor size and quality increase significantly. I then started pushing the voltage closer to 70W.

There was a noticeable heat transfer, as the mod did get a bit warm when it neared its 80W maximum. I also noticed that the single 18650 battery did deplete rather quickly. I wasn’t expecting such a low battery life with a low-wattage device, but there it was.

Wismec Sinuous P80 charging

How the Wismec Sinuous P80 Stacks Up

I’ve already used the VaporFi V-Grip 75W to make comparisons with other two-digit wattage devices, and I thought it would be the best option to test out the P80’s performance and functionality.

The V-Grip featured many of the same vaping outputs that the Wismec P80 features on its chipset like variable wattage, temperature control, and a bypass mode, and it also took a single 18650 battery. Visually, the V-Grip had a much more streamlined, minimalist appearance and wisely made use of its slightly larger 1.3inch screen to neatly display its information.

And looking through the specs sheet of both devices, I found more similarities than differences. The vaping outputs were the same, although there was a little more customization available on the V-Grip’s chipset due to its advanced temperature control settings.

I think I’ll have to be at my most superficial and pick the V-Grip as the winner of this contest. I liked the pared-down look of the V-Grip, and that was the only thing I could see that differentiated the two devices since they both performed exceptionally well.

It could’ve gone either way, but I instinctively sided with the V-Grip more for its looks and attractiveness than for anything else.

Wismec Sinuous P80 colors

THINGS I LIKED

Performance

Wismec knows how to build a great-performing device. The P80 is proof of that. The user interface worked very well; there was no misfiring even with the screen/firing button mash-up, and the vapor quality was superb.

Coils

I liked the WS01 coils. They were probably not the best option for a low-wattage device, although they did work great and gave off superb clouds.

Screen/Firing panel combination

Wismec could’ve made their lives easier by separating the screen and the firing panel, but they instead opted to meld the two functions together and by and large, they executed it well. The screen looks great, and the panel is most responsive on the parts outside of the screen.

THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE

Battery life

It looks like the dominance of single-18650 devices is waning. Despite the fact that the P80 is a low-wattage device that did not stop it from significantly draining the battery faster than expected.

Overheating

Again, a low-wattage device like the P80 should not have overheating problems. But probably because there is not much but a plastic coating between your hands and the battery, I did notice a significant warm-up on the P80.

THE LAST CALL

Even though the Wismec Sinuous P80 was supposed to be a mini-version of the Predator, it’s small size, and single-cell power supply did not mean that the mod still did not act like a high-wattage device. The mod and its chipset took more out of the battery than I expected.

I was neither convinced by the P80’s supposed portability. It still felt a little heavy and wide to be an on-the-go option. The coils and Elabo tank were great additions to this kit, although I think the Elabo tank would have performed better with a more powerful device.

It looks like the 18650 is on the way out, especially since vape companies seem dead-set on pushing wattage levels through the roof. Maybe the Sinuous P80 is one of the last single-cell devices we’ll be seeing for a while.

SMOK Stick X8 Review

With a height of 85mm and a diameter of 24.5mm the battery is very portable. It’s powered by an internal 3000mAh cell and it gets fully charged in less than 4h. With a single button to operate the SMOK Stick X8 is very easy to use and it’s intended mainly for beginners looking to sub ohm. An LED indicator light surrounding the fire button will also tell you when it’s time to recharge the battery or when there’s a problem with the atomizer.

Power output depends on the coil you’re using and it ranges between 30W – 45W. That’s more than enough for big flavorful clouds and it also ensures the battery will last you a full day. As always, battery life tends to get better depending on the resistance of the coil you’re using. For instance we noticed more than 1h extra when using the 0.25 Ohm coil, as opposed to the 0.13 Ohm version.

The spring loaded 510 connector is plated with 24K gold and the battery also comes with several safety features such as low resistance protection, short circuit protection and low voltage protection.

THE ALL NEW X-BABY TANK

The X-Baby tank you get with the SMOK Stick X8 kit is a big improvement over the V8 Baby and it has top airflow and top fill. Total capacity if 4.0ml and it comes with a wide bore Delrin mouthpiece measuring 8.5mm. This prevents your lips from getting hot and it feels very comfortable. SMOK has even included a spare fill gasket as well as spare O-rings for the tank but no extra glass tube.SMOK Stick X8 tank

The 0.25 Ohm coil gives good flavor and a cooler vape, while the 0.13 Ohm coil is intended for max clouds. We didn’t notice any flooding or dry hits and we mostly used high VG juices during our tests. We do recommend the 0.25 Ohm coils for first timers though.

PERFORMANCE AND FINAL WORDS

In terms of performance the SMOK Stick X8 is one of the best vape pens we tested in 2017. It delivers amazing clouds and flavor and the battery packs enough power to last you a full day. If you also consider the affordable price tag, it’s definitely a best buy in this category.
